This juried "Best of Salon" Awards Competition honors the top artisan, gourmet and premium hot chocolates. Drinking chocolate is one of the oldest chocolate categories, and yet is only now experiencing a resurgence of interest and admiration. TasteTV and the International Chocolate Salon annually review and celebrate the year's best.
Product and brand submissions are judged by regional and national panels of food and media experts, members of who are part of the Academy of Media Tastemakers.

SUBMISSION RULES
Submissions are sent for a tasting panel of 10 judges. Registration must be complete by the deadline, and physical entries shipped to the Organizers in San Francisco by the final receipt date (address information is included in registration confirmation)
IMPORTANT: Each sample should be individually wrapped, labeled and packaged for each judge, separately. Size of each sample should be enough for one cup or mug of tasting. You must send small individually wrapped samples for each judge to make 1 cup of the drink themselves. Do not send the entry in one general container for the Organizers to repackage. The number of drinking samples you should send is 12 (10 for judges, 2 for backup if someone is wrong with a sample)
Chocolatier and Confectioner event attendance is NOT required to participate in the above Juried Awards Competition. Chocolatiers and Confectioners do NOT need to be physically located in a region to enter an awards competition.
