The Top Toffee of 2024 and Awards Winners Announced

We are proud to present the results of the 2024 TOFFEE AWARDS Competition.

The International Chocolate Salon Awards for the 2024 TOFFEE AWARDS are based on the combined total number of votes received by each entrant from the Judging Panel.

The Judging Panel consists of National and Regional Magazines, Newspaper and Blog Editors, plus Topic Experts, Local Chefs and Food Gurus.

The award winners below have the honor of being able to display and use the Official Award Winner title and award logos, as well as use items (such as the Award Product Stickers, Award Winner lapel pin), as well as use Custom Award Certificates, and logo award merchandise.

It's a tie between The Toffee Merchant's Tart Cherry Amaretto Toffee and Rainy Day's English Toffee With Milk Chocolate, Macadamia Nut, and Toasted Coconut.

QUOTABLE COMMENTS FROM JUDGES

They were all wonderful. Found this category difficult to judge this time.. Very similar taste profiles, but some rose above, such as the sonoma Chocolatiers Toffiess and the Toffee Store Tart Cherry Amaretto which had several unique flavors.
Sweet P's Cherry Almond was exceptionally fruit forward. All of the Nuts for Toffee had strong flavopr profiles and excellent texture.The two Sonoma Chocolatiers entries were unique, different, and delicious. While I do not usually appreciate the addition of whiskey, I did greatly enjoy the Fritz Bourbon Toffee. The Karamella Marble was both beautiful and delicious. The Toffee Merechant's Cherry Amaretto had a great balance of fruit and chocolate. Tomo's smore was a good alternative to a regular fire roasted s'more
Crafian: Brilliant use of lime zest in the Curry Toffee. Toffee Merchant: Salted Espresso had great flavor and savoriness. Tomo continues to make excellent toffee, great flavors, quality, and texture. Rainy Day: I love that their bag is compostable. Rainy Day: Not too sticky, generous amount of chocolate, nice and crunchy, and the almond dusting was really nice. Sonoma Maple Pecan: One of the best toffees! Great flavor, texture, and pecans were so fresh and crunchy. I couldn't stop eating it!
I love Belle Toffee's square, but the chocolate is not as good as the toffee.

INDIVIDUAL JUDGES' RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CHOCOLATIERS

Great job all!! Toffee is one of my favorites, and this category is hard to judge due to the many similar (but all delicious) toffees. Adding new flavor profiles was great..
There were so many delicious toffees that the scoring was quite close. In general, for me, the addition of whiskey is often not appreciated by me.
Best Brands in general were: Crafian (incredible taste & quality), Tomo, Lulubee, and Rainy Day.
Have Rainy Day put their brand name or logo on the bag,
Consider using the nuts in the toffee as well as on top and larger chunks of nuts are always better than smaller crumbles.
Toffee needs to melt not stickin your teeth
